Privacy Policy
DisciplineRR is a private, local-first trading journal for Windows, independently built and supported by Broden “Four” Hauck IV in Colorado, USA. This policy explains what limited information is handled when you visit the website and purchase the software, and what stays on your own computer.
Your trading data stays local
DisciplineRR does not upload trade records, journal notes, imported CSV data, or locally attached screenshots to DisciplineRR-operated servers during normal application use. This information is stored locally on your computer.
Internet access may be required for checkout, downloading the installer, license activation, update checks, and support communications.
Website information we may collect
- Purchase information (via Stripe). When you buy DisciplineRR, payment is processed by Stripe. We may receive purchase-related details such as your email address, payment status, and checkout session identifiers so we can verify access and provide support. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
- License activation data. To activate a license, the app may send a license key and basic request details (such as app version) to the activation endpoint so access can be verified.
- Support communications. If you email support, we use the information you provide (such as your purchase email, Windows version, and description of the issue) to help resolve it.
- Server logs. Like most websites, the server may record standard request logs (such as IP address, timestamp, and requested URL) for security and troubleshooting.
Payment processor disclosure
Payments are handled by Stripe, which acts as the payment processor. Stripe’s handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy. DisciplineRR does not store your full card number.
Cookies and analytics
The DisciplineRR marketing site does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. Checkout is handled by Stripe, which may set cookies necessary to process your payment securely.
Data retention
Purchase and license records are retained as long as needed to provide access, support, license recovery, and to meet record-keeping obligations. Support emails are retained as needed to assist you. Where a specific retention period is not yet defined, information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes.
Your choices and requests
You can contact support to ask what purchase or license information is associated with your email, to request corrections, or to request deletion of information that is not required for record-keeping or fraud prevention. Because your journal data is stored locally, you can delete it directly on your own computer at any time.
